Below are the steps to become a HealthierUS School winner. 

To make the process easy for you, go through the steps below.

Step 1: Meet the Basic Criteria

Step 2: Go through the “Get Ready!” checklist

Step 3: Click here to  Build Your HUSSC Team

Step 4: Follow the HUSSC Requirements for your school level:

  • Elementary Schools
  • Secondary Schools

Step 5: Review HUSSC Requirements with your HUSSC team and determine if training, tools or resources needed.

Step 6: Utilize the Training and Technical Assistance provided on the HUSSC site to fill in any gaps or answer any questions.

Step 7: Utilize the Helpful Tools.  We will add to these resources based on new successes.

Step 8: Complete the HealthierUS School application.  Go to Application Tips  for a page by page guide we provided to help you avoid common errors.
